Packaging Technology Group (PTG) is a faith-based company. Our core values are Faith, Relationships, Courage, and Creativity. One of the ways in which we practice our core values is through our Ministry Team, PTG Helping Hands Ministry.
The Ministry Team was formed in 2011 with the goal of focusing 80% of its efforts internally and 20% in outreach to the greater community. Every employee has the opportunity to participate in all ministry activities.
Our guiding verse from the Bible is Matthew 25:35-40: ‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply,‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
In all that we do at PTG we strive to honor God. Life is about people and PTG loves to celebrate life’s joys and to help others whenever possible. We celebrate new babies, marriages, engagements and new home purchases. We pray for, and with one another when a loved one is sick, has passed away, or loses a job. Helping Hands Ministry does a wonderful job of creating gift baskets for employees as these situations of celebration, sympathy, and prayer arise.
We participate in the community supporting events including food drives, supplying back to school backpacks to children who would otherwise not have them, donating Bibles to churches, “adopting” families at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas to provide food, clothing, and gifts, and participating in Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child. Additionally, PTG sponsors children in Guatemala and Zimbabwe.
